Max has worked with MSNBC since starting as an intern with The Dylan Ratigan show in January 2012. His main interests include federalism, drug policy, and troubleshooting governance problems with fearless speculation.
Before joining MSNBC Max worked as an international elections observer with The Carter Center in Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Max has also interned at Rolling Stone in New York City, Human Rights Watch in Washington DC, and the Georgia General Assembly in Atlanta.
Max received a Masters in Politics from the New School for Social Research in New York City and a Bachelors in Political Science from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
